in UAE on employment, visit or any other visa and wish to change their job or intending to extend their tourist
        or

- Visa cancellation
UAE visa cancellation is not something you can do on your own. In order to cancel your UAE visa, it must be done
        by
        your
sponsor. You act as the sponsor of your family members who have joined you in the UAE on a Family Visa.
        Therefore,
        you
are responsible for cancelling their UAE residence visas. Your dependents’ visas must be canceled before your
        employer
cancels yours. A dependent’s UAE family visa does not have to be canceled if you are only changing jobs and will
        not
        leave the UAE permanently.
If you have been working in United Arab Emirates under an Employment visa, a work permit (Labour Card) and
        residence
visa must also be canceled by your employer.
If you stay outside of the UAE for more than six months, your Residence Visa will automatically be revoked. In
        the
        event
that your UAE visa is cancelled while you are abroad, you must reapply for an Entry Permit in order to be
        allowed to
        return.
It usually does not take long for a UAE visa to be cancelled. In most cases, the process is completed within two
        working
        days.
Note: You have 30 days to leave the country after your UAE visa is cancelled. For accurate date check the date
        mentioned
        on your cancellation papers.
- Change profession
An employee may change profession during his/her work period. Before changing a job title, an employee working
        in a
mainland company must amend his or her records with MOHRE. For changing the designation on your residence visa
        you
        have
to meet the standards for the new visa.
A person must notify the competent department of ICP within one month of changing Emirates ID card information,
according to the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs & Ports Security (ICP).
- Absconding
A worker is said to be absconded if he/she does not report for work for seven days consecutively without a valid
        reason
and approved leave. The employer is entitled to report the employee absconding in such case.
In the UAE, absconding comes with proper reporting procedures, penalties, amnesty programs and conditions that
        are
unacceptable by the Ministry of Labour.
